📋 JOB DESCRIPTION:
• Design cold stamping dies (Single Stage & Progressive Dies) using CATIA V5 / SolidWorks based on OEM customer drawings (Honda, Hyundai).
• Perform sheet metal forming simulation using AutoForm software to optimize bending angles, press force, and predict crack/wrinkle defects.
• Create detailed 2D manufacturing drawings for die components (Die Set, Punch, Stripper, Die Block) with BOM, coordinating with CNC/Wire-cut workshops for ±0.01mm tolerance precision.
• Design checking fixtures and gauges to support QA/QC dimensional inspection on the production line.
• Collaborate with R&D and Production to resolve technical issues during die trial and mass production phases.
• Manage periodic die maintenance schedules, track tooling lifespan, and propose Kaizen improvements.
📌 REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Tooling Design or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of die design experience in automotive/motorcycle parts manufacturing (Tier-1 supplier preferred).
• Proficient in CATIA V5 or SolidWorks (mandatory). AutoForm experience is a significant advantage.
• In-depth knowledge of sheet metal materials (SPCC, SAPH, SPFC), JIS standards, and CNC/Wire-cut/EDM machining processes.
• Ability to read technical drawings in English / Japanese.
• Detail-oriented, meticulous, able to handle new project deadline pressure.
• Candidates with FDI (Japanese, Korean, Taiwanese) factory experience preferred.
